Status guide
Use these to mark where an idea stands today. You can change status any time.
- Seed. A raw thought. You wrote it down before it disappeared.
- Growing. You are working on it this week or this month.
- Finished. Done for now. You shipped it, shared it, or closed the loop.
- Dormant. Not active. You might come back to it in a few months.
- Abandoned. You decided not to continue. That is fine. The note stays.
Quarterly review
Pick a three-month window and print a short review. Use it to spot patterns in your creative work.
How to use this archive
- Capture fast. Give each idea a short title. You can add notes later. If you only have ten seconds, save just the title.
- Pick a medium. This helps you see which creative modes you return to most often.
- Mark the mood. Mood tags show how you felt when the idea arrived. Over time you may notice you write best when calm, or when stuck.
- Update status. Move ideas from Seed to Growing to Finished. If you stop working on something, mark it Dormant or Abandoned with a short note.
- Review quarterly. Every three months, print a review. Look for ideas worth reviving and patterns you want to change.
Common mistakes
- Waiting for a big idea. Small ideas count. A two-line sketch or a single chord change is worth saving.
- Never marking things finished. Without a Finished status, your archive becomes a pile of half-started work.
- Not using tags. Tags are how you find ideas later. Use three to five simple words.
- Treating abandoned work as failure. Abandoned projects still teach you something. Keep the note.

Assumptions
This archive assumes you want a private, low-friction place to record ideas. It does not assume you work on one medium, or that every idea becomes a finished piece. It works best if you save ideas as they arrive, not at the end of the week.
Troubleshooting
- If your archive disappears, you may have cleared site data. Use the Export button regularly.
- If the page feels slow, you may have hundreds of entries. Export, clear, and start a fresh archive.
- If you want to move this to another browser, export JSON there and import it on the new device.
